Original Tunes…

So, God has been kicking my tail about me starting to write music again.
God has also been using people to encourage me LIKE CRAZY to start writing music again.

Seriously, people I haven’t talked to in years are Facebook’ing me saying they’ve been listening to my old stuff. People are asking me if I have a CD of my music. People have been pushing me like crazy that I have a song in my heart that I’ve been holding back for a few years now.

Here’s the deal. I have serious self-image issues.
I write music. I like it. I listen to it. I think people hate it. I stop writing music.

So my next step is gonna be just to put together some time during the week and devote it to songwriting again. I used to do this, and the churches I was in during those times were flooded with my original worship songs. People connected to God. All was good. So here we go again.

Just as a taste, I put a little love song here called “Like I Notice You.” Listen to it, let me know what you think. It’s from like 2005, and recorded very raw using some studio time I got on whim. Hope you love it.

Like I Notice You

I’ll let you know how this week’s songwriting session goes.

Are you writing anything lately?

I was trying to find someone I went to high school with named Jonathan Bryant and your sight came up. My Jonathan would be about 54 now. I listened to your music anyway and really enjoyed it. I love the Lord also and felt His peace in your music. Keep writing, keep singing. It is a gift your children will build upon. I write and play guitar and have six children. All enjoy good music. Thank you for sharing yours. Loretta in Texas
